Summer Holidays: Land Salzburg / Lofer

The municipality of Lofer is located in the north of the Alps, about 50 kilometres from Salzburg. In the summer there are numerous activities for those seeking relaxation. On the beautiful hiking routes along the Lower Saalachtal you can enjoy the unique view and the clear, fresh air.

The three villages in the immediate vicinity (Unken, St. Martin, Weißbach) are within easy reach. What is true for hiking also speaks for cycling. Especially on the mountain bike you can explore the beautiful mountainous landscape. If you want to experience a little more “action”, then outdoor climbing in Weißbach or the climbing hall in Saalfelden are the best choice.

If you like a little more thrill, you can try your hand at kayaking or rafting. The Saalach in Lofer attracts thousands of water sports enthusiasts every year due to its unspoilt nature and wild attractiveness. Every year whitewater championships take place on the internationally recognised competition course. Other activities are possible in the Motion Center or Base Camp. Here large and small groups always get their money’s worth.

Somewhat originally it is in the nature bath area Vorderkaser. Here you can bathe in summer, sunbathe and relax extensively.
